Rebecca
New Patient and Surgical Coordinator
Rebecca has been with BSNI since 2004, holding various positions throughout her tenure. As the Surgical Coordinator, Rebecca hopes to ease some stress and worry while assisting patients through their surgical experience with BSNI.
Rebecca has been a lifelong resident of Rhode Island. She graduated from the Community College of Rhode Island and attended Rhode Island College to earn a degree in Social Work. Rebecca is married with three children, and is very active in her community and church. She enjoys spending her downtime in the mountains, cross-country skiing, and hiking.
Briannah
Certified Medical Assistant
Briannah is one of the medical assistants here at BSNI. You'll see her around the office checking patients in, obtaining vitals, discussing patient medical histories, explaining surgical procedures, and assisting M.D.'s with steroid injections. Prior to joining the neurosurgical team here at BSNI, Briannah worked in urgent care, long-term care, and mental health.
Briannah graduated from Sanford Brown Institute in 2011 as a Certified Medical Assistant. When not in the office, she enjoys spending time with her little sister, attending county fairs in the summer, and walking the beach with her two hound dogs.
Ally
Authorizations coordinator
Ally has been the authorizations coordinator here at BSNI for the past year, but she also helps out wherever she can around the office. You may see her checking patients in and out or assisting our Doctors with steroid injections. She’s gained experience in many other fields in the past, but she feels her work at BSNI has been the most rewarding thus far!
Outside of the office Ally is an avid plant enthusiast and enjoys adventuring through nature trails and spending time with her two cats.
Laura
Medical Assistant
Laura has been with BSNI since September 2020 as a medical assistant. You would find Laura mostly at the front desk checking patients in and out and answering their questions to ensure they have everything they need before leaving the office.
Laura worked as a secretary for a physical therapy office in 2000, which inspired her to go back to school and graduate from Gibbs College with an Associate's Degree in 2007. After getting her degree, she developed further experience working in a physical therapy and orthopedic office and is now happy with the BSNI family. Laura is happily married with two daughters and one granddaughter, and in her spare time she loves going on motorcycle rides with her husband, reading, and taking walks.
Ashley
Receptionist
Ashley has been with BSNI since October 2020. As the receptionist, she answers calls to our office and looks forward to assisting patients in whatever ways they need.
Outside of work, Ashley enjoys spending time with her brothers and nephews and also likes to craft, read, and watch movies.
Vanessa
Medical Assistant
Vanessa has been with BSNI since November 2021. As one of our medical assistants, you will find her in our front office doing everything from checking patients in and out to helping them schedule appointments. Vanessa has also recently began assisting with injections.
Outside of work, Vanessa enjoys spending time with her 2 daughters as well as her mother.
Mellissa
Medical Assistant
Mellissa has been a part of BSNI since December, 2021. As one of our medical assistants, you will find Mellissa at her desk in the front office checking patients out, creating new patient appointments, and generally making sure that the office is running smoothly.
As an outdoorsy person, Mellissa loves going to the beach with her daughters and having picnics. She also enjoys playing basketball and is a dog enthusiast.
